1. "I need help installing the map and mod tools i downloaded the .zip file extracted using WinRAR but I can't use the tools or open the programs, I need help."

2. "I just unzipped the whole mod tools, updated them with v 1.1. When I try to go locate my CoD folder where I installed the game, I find the right folder and click on it but nothing goes into the bar next to the browse button. It doesn't even say "That path is not a valid CoD path". Whats wrong?"

3. "I downloaded the mod tool for CoD4 and it comes up saying 'this application has failed to start because d3dx9_34.dll was not found. re-installing the application may fix this problem' but when I re-installed it, it still didn't work. What do I do to get it to work?

4. "Will there be Mod Tools available for download for those of us who do not own the game for PC? I play on xbox and see no reason to own the same game twice and where is the answers to the questions? This page looks too be made by teen or eleven year old!!

5.Installed and patched game, unzipped into cod root dir, same with mod patch. But when I try and run cod4compiletooles.exe I get an application error… “the application failed to initialize properly” What am I missing? 

   - Solution: Install MS .Net Framework (http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/thankyou.aspx?familyId=333325fd-ae52-4e35-b531-508d977d32a6&displayLang=en)

6. When i open a model in radiant from bin/xmodel i get an error mesage saying 'Fatal Error: cant find shader_bin/vs-5....' what has happened?

7. Error Message when starting Radiant: 

    Expression:    dx.device
    Module:    C:\Program Files\Activision\Call of Duty 4 - Modern Warfare\bin\CoD4Radiant.exe

 I cannot run the application anymore.  Anyone Have an Idea on how to fix this?



(another person) I had a different error (with vista if that makes a difference)


the map tools and the moding tools cant seem to find a file called mss32.dll

any one know what i could do to make it work??
