define. [LACE] Report. A [LACE] Report acts as a quick and efficient report of the status of a unit. Standing for: Liquid, Ammunition, Casualties, and Equipment. For our needs however, I'll be using it to give you a weekly status on Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare’s development and the inside happenings here at the Infinity Ward studio. Consider the [LACE] report as your inside peek into Infinity Ward's daily life. I plan to bring you in on the details of CoD4:MW's various development topics (level design, animation, etc.), as well as what's currently happening in our office, day to day!
The Reveal
This week has been insane, now that we've finally revealed Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare and thanks to the launch of CharlieOscarDelta.com along with the overwhelming response we've received because of it (More than 1 million downloads on GameTrailers.com)! The biggest thing right now is a huge thanks to everyone for their feedback and emails since the launch of the trailer. Nothing gets us pumped up like reading through the thousands of comments and forum posts responses you guys have been leaving. There's been so many good ones in fact, you've sparked a pretty regular, "Best quotes from CharlieOscarDelta" email train that's been going around the office with some of the best, and funniest quotes from you guys. Keep em' coming.
CharlieOscarDelta
I'm blown away with how fast the community has grown here, with new members joining in droves. A lot of you have been part of the Call of Duty community for quite a while, on all different platforms, with some new to the COD family as well. The important thing to remember though is no matter which Call of Duty you're a fan of, or which platform you played it on, we're all part of the same community. So let's keep the forums as a fun, civil, and enjoyable place to hang out and talk about the game and anything else related. Keep in mind that I'll be hanging around the forums everyday and am readily available to listen to your feedback and address any game related questions that I can. Right now though I'm here to get you as close to the development of Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare as possible. In addition to that, we have a great team of moderators and staff behind the scenes at CharlieOscarDelta that are here to help moderate the forums and handle any website / forum related technical issues which will be introducing themselves in the forums shortly. Drop them a line if you see any hooligans causing trouble in the forums, having issues with members or the boards, or need any help with the website.
