We are currently seeking a Unix Administrator.
Responsibilities:
- Responsible for 24/7 monitoring and implementation of Infinity Ward's on-line services
- Configure new and existing servers to keep up with performance expectations
- Plan for and implement new networking and server infrastructure
- Implement monitoring systems for all critical aspects
- Identify and resolve problems while keeping the team informed
- Escalate problems as needed to the development team
- Coordinate with off-site operations
Experience:
- 3+ years system administration experience
- Programming background in any language a plus
- CS degree a plus
- Prior experience with on-line gaming services a big plus
Required Skills:
- In-depth understanding of a UNIX-based OS, including kernel tuning and performance optimization
- Strong scripting ability (shell, Perl, or Python)
- SQL configuration and administration experience
- Excellent communication skills
- Experience with installation and configuration of the Microsoft Windows Server platform
- Familiar with network load balancers and/or Cisco hardware
