Associate Producer

The Associate Producer is involved in the production of multiple projects and/or a franchise, and supports the Producer in managing and implementing those projects.

Responsibilities:

Works in all aspects of the production of a game. Depending on experience and skill level, Associate Producers are generally responsible for taking over whole sections of game production. These sections can be the management of particular work pipelines, such as the art, animation, cinematics, programming, design, scripting, or sound pipelines. You will track the schedule of these pipelines, manage assets, identify weaknesses, bottlenecks, and risks in the schedule, and troubleshoot communication and schedule dependency problems. Regardless of the Associate Producer’s specific assignment, functions usually encompass scheduling, budgeting, organizing, coordinating & managing issues and personnel.

Education:

  • College degree preferred.
  • Professional or advanced degree is a bonus.

 

Experience:

  • Experience on at least one project from start to finish.
  • Minimum of 2 years games development experience or production experience on at least 2 main SKU titles, or the equivalent type of responsibility working with software developers, artists, or A/V production.
  • Must be passionate about games development.
  • Must be willing to commit and take responsibility for projects under their supervision.
  • Very organized self-starter willing to assume responsibility.
  • Must have good communication and organizational skills to work closely with many internal and external groups.
  • Technical background a major plus
  • Build master experience also a major plus
